We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Van der Valk Hotel Assen. The room was very comfortable and luxurious. The shower was a dream come true. Breakfast was superb, we have never had such a good breakfast anywhere else. We would wholeheartedly recommend Van der Valk.

There is nothing negative to say abour the hotel. It was excellent.

Pos: the place is very clean and wonderful, with friendly and helpful staff, and the rooms are always fantastic, equipped with a shower and a large flat-screen TV with international channels.

We've spent 90 days traveling throughout 18 countries in Europe staying most nights in hotels for no more then one or two days at a time and Van der Valk was definately one of the better ones. So no real complaints.

I thought that the restaurant was very good, for breakfast but especially dinner. the staff were very friendly.

I would prefer a bar of soap instead of soap dispenser.

The place is conveniently located within a short walk to a park and restaurants, as well as easy access to a taxi; the units are stunning with a well-equipped bathroom, including a Jacuzzi bath.

Loved this pet-friendly hotel, would recomand. Fairly large and immaculately clean venue, location was absolutely perfect and magnificent close to the restaurant for dinner, city centre and the outskirts of Assen. The breakfast was rich with roast beef and a really friendly chef, very good service. Every employee we encountered was knowledgeable...

The hotel is situated just on the outskirts of the town, making it convenient for visiting the Assen TT circuit. the rooms are generally clean and comfortable, with nice bathrooms and good facilities. the breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options. the location also offers a nice view of the surrounding woods.

Some of the bedlamps and one bathroom lamp were out of order.
